I don't know how you would remove them, maybe Joes Juice??? FWIW, I have them in my nano and they have never caused a problem. They just seem to ebb and flow.
What is the best way to get these pest out of the tank. I have 2 patches about the size of a quarter. Can I just snip them with scissors or do they need to be pulled? One patch has a purple sponge growing through them and didn't want to tear that up.

I qt everything and have been pretty lucky using coral rx to get rid of them when I notice on new arrivals. I would suggest to qt the rocks to get rid of them I do believe that they can spread much like aptasia can it you miss some on the manual removal. Some people locally used the same things for aptasia removal in their main tanks cause the rock was unable to be removed. Seemed to work for them but I have no experience with them in the DT
They haven't spread very fast. Had 1 patch over a year ago, now there is 2. I'm a little scared to use something that kills nems having 4 large maxi mini carpets in there. I'm going to try cutting them as close to the rock as I can and see what happens. If they come back I'll get some putty for frags and try to smother them.
