Another reef

My daughter was a little upset with me for breaking down the planted FW tank in her room to turn it into a sump/fuge for my main DT. I do have several other tanks, but none would do for a proper fuge that would fit under my stand. I asked her if she would like me to set up another planted FW community tank, and she said "No, Blizz want reef." So I think I will use my 40gal breeder to set up a new reef in her room. I need to get some equipment for this, and my DT was kind of built as I learned, so I don't really have the best components in it at the moment. I have a Rio 1700 and a beauty pump with an undetermined gph rating as my returns and I'm using koralias as my in tank flow. I'm going to stick with the Koralias, but for the new tank's return, should I stick with the Rio's (I've never had a problem with mine) or go with something different?

Lucky Blizz!! If you are buying new pumps I would not buy a Rio. I have had nothing but trouble and bad customer service from TAAM. I'd go with an Eheim or Ocean Runner pump.

I got sidetracked with the Grav Drain Fuge. There is still an empty 40 gal breeder with a 2x96watt PC fixture missing an actinic bulb and no sump sitting in the dining room. I will eventually build another sump for the 40 and start that build in her room. Lucky for me, Blizz has been excited to help Daddy with the DT mods and she seems to have put the 40 gal breeder down a few notches on the priority list for now also.

nor richer. If we could stop wasting money on useless things like eating, buying clothes, tooth paste and soap I could have these things already up and running by now!

that's a *REALLY* good idea! ...Right now I'm still fighting to get breakfast eaten, and it's after lunch time! I feel like all the money I spend on proper nutrition is getting thrown away right now, it would certainly be more appreciated spent on reef equipment!
