Clowns will lay on their side. How is he now?
I just received my new clarkii an it has been swimming on it's side since i opened the box. I am still aclimating donut hasn't even gone into the QT yet. Is this normal for clarkii clowns? Is there anything I can do besides finish aclimating?

I finished aclimating and placed him in the QT. After about 15 min if hiding he's out and about seems fairly happy. I think he might have been stressed from the small shipping bag. He's nearly 4.5" and was in a little 1/2 qt size bag for nearly 24hrs. I'll try and get some pics after work tomorrow.

That is good news. I am looking forward to seeing the pix!

Sorry to hear your loss, although in saying that, surfers do happen.
I have no idea of your tank, and your history, so talking of of tune, i'd suggest a small grouping of chromis maybe.

Or maybe some wrasses...

When u said chromis i automatically thin the blue green ones, but i guess almost any pseudochromis would work? I looked at wrasses too. I am going to research anthis i am unfamiliar with them. I do like the dottybacks as well.

Anthias are really pretty fish and look wonderful in a harem. They need to be fed small amounts several times a day. I haven't ever kept one since they need a longer tank. The dominate female in a group will become male if the male dies or there is no male present.

Ahh the joys of research. I remember the good old days. Lost now to the pages of beer drinking!
