I have had good success with Joe's Juice. I've also had some hits (and some misses) with peppermint shrimp.
Hello everyone,
I was just curious whats the best way to get rid of aptasia for good. I just tore my 29 gallan down has no fish snails or crabs in it just a bunch of aptasia. should i take it out and let it dry out or is there a better way?
Thanks,
Eric

Yeah peppermint shrimp work as long as you get a gang of three or more. They aren't nearly as effective singularly. Also they don't do well with large aptasia growths. But they do well with finding all the growths you don't see so eventually they kill off all the aptasia in the tank.
When that work is done they hang out in a corner and sing accapello for food. ...

You do have to make sure you are getting peppermints (Lysmata wurdemanni) and not camel shrimp (Rhynchocinetes durbanensis) which are sometimes sold as peps.
