Cycle and hair algae

I read the post "ways to help algae die off"..... which was very interesting. It has been several years since I have started a new tank. I set up a new 90 about 6-8 weeks ago and in the past day or two the whole back part of the tank is beginning to encase in hair algae. The return does blow more down the back of the tank then anywhere else. I have heard that this could be due to the fact my tank has finished its cycle.

Any suggestions or help would be great, I thought if I started fresh and with better equipment I may not have the smae issues with cyano and hair as in the past. I have to move my uv over to the new tank... I do have 2 chempure bags and I just got an ecoaqulizer that I will be installing.

Algae is an ongoing nemesis for a lot of us and of course it is almost always part of the initial cycle. If it was me, I'd turn the lights out for a few days and see if that helps. Rob had really good luck with a product called Marine SAT. I've never used it but you might want to take a look at it.
