I’ve been doing it for years, with detergent, on double rinse cycle. No problems.
Mr. Saltwater Tank just said I can put my filter socks in the washing machine on hot with no detergent. I've thought about this on several occasions (usually while vigorously scrubbing the crud out of said socks...) but I'm concerned about residual soap in the machine. Yeah, I know, I'm paranoid... Do any of you guys do this?

sweet, my workload just lessened.
Wait... I ask my wife to feed the fish nori and move things in the tank when I get home from work all of the time. The reason for this is with all of the cutting, sanding and filing of copper I do, there are times when I am covered in filings of copper. Then I wash those clothes in my washing machine. Maybe the residual detergent won't be a problem, but I'm willing to bet the residual copper will cause some problems.
I'd think that it should be rinsed out unless you are really packing the clothes in the washer. But then if you did that you'd probably have dirty clothes.

Washer, no detergent. Been doing it for years. If you like them white, add a bit of bleach. Wash them inside-out.

So is that accessory included? Or is it an expensive attachment?
