so my vortech mp 10 came today. i can tell you it is worth the money using it in reef crest mode. corals love it. pump changes speed by itself to act like the ocean tide. also you dont even notice it in the tank compared to other pumps.
So I have a question, wow is it that he is able to have so many corals in close proximity? I thought that most corals had feeler tentacles that went out at night and stung other corals if they were close enough. Its amazing how the mushroom is nearly touching the BTA.

i have moved the mushrooms to the back of the tank. but some of my corals are peaceful, not all some are. my bulb tip usually stays nice and compact do to my lighting and feeding once a week. the bta also has bulb like tips most of the time. But the bta has split and i now have 2 they are right next to each other. so i dont know if the new one will move its been about a week since the split so i would guess if he was going to move he would have done it already
i am thinking of adding another fish to the tank. any ideas i have two clownfish and a coral beauty. i was thinking about a yellow basslet or maybe a green chromis
If it was my tank I'd probably not add anything else. The coral beauty will get pretty big.

so i have been thinking of removing one of my bubble tips from the tank. would it be to hard to remove one of them. since it split they are still right next to each other. i am not sure about removing the foot from the live rock. would love to sell it or maybe trade it for another coral. any help.
Can you get at the foot? If so, try putting on a glove and tickling it a little. Also heard of people putting an ice cube in a bag and touching the foot but that seems a bit more stressful. If you cant get at the foot, you can add more flow at it to make it move then you can get at it. If the rock its on is small enough, you could use flow to move one nem then just sell the other with the rock attached and touch neither.
so i aquascaped my nano again. i wasn't feeling my rock work. i much happier with the way it came out now. so my bubbletips have now seperated. one is on the left side of the tank and the other is on the right side of the tank. on a different note i got my hands on a orange hammer coral which should arrive on friday. i also added to my clean up crew. i ordered from reefcleaners.org. they custom my clean up crew for me. will post pictures in a day or two
Cool! So you decided to keep both nems then. Look forward to the pics.
Need some pix!
