Well, I don’t have a clue about that little critter. Maybe AZD will chime in later. After he does his dash toward the surface where does he go?
I was playing with my camera a few minutes ago trying to take a video of my tank and caught something strange. Something shoots up out from behind a rock right where my nem lives. It happened again a few seconds later but didnt get that one on camera. My first thought was nem poop but it looks like it's swimming. The video is very poor quality. Been playing with all the settings trying to make it better but this the best this old thing can do. What do you guys think? It happens at 25 seconds.

I have a k1 in a 10 gallon so i lost it pretty quick. Do nems reproduce sexually or just split? Was wondering if that could be it also. After the 2 brief glimpses it vanished. The powerhead blows at the surface and right at the skimmer pump so it may have been sucked up. Friday is equipment cleaning day so I'll look around in there.

I don't think it was poo, it went straight up too fast with no sideways movement like you would expect it it was being blown about by a powerhead. Maybe a worm of some kind???
