What a day of discovery! Pods and Red Coraline Algae in my Tank!

    WOW!

I was doing my daily water level check and glass polishing when low and behold I am seeing RED Coraline Algae growing in 4 spots on my LR! HELLACOOL! I have no idea where it came from but it's spreading out fairly well. It's about dime sized on 2 spots and half that size on the other areas. The cool part is it's not on just one rock.. it's on three different rocks. So it will be all around the tank!

Also I finally can see what these little white specks are that have appearing on only one side of my tank glass. They finally got large enough to see legs and antenna. I think they are Isopods. I guess they have no natural predators in my tank so they will thrive in my little oasis for awhile.

This posting has no purpose but to shout out to world I remember why I bought this tank and got back into this hobby. These little surprises didn't cost me a dime. I just had to tell someone!

Congrats Matt. Get ready for the coraline algae plague, and every couple day glass cleaning

Today I woke up with Eggs on the glass in my DT. My turbo snail must have laid them over night. I think I'm gonna be a daddy.

LMAO!! Never thought about that. I really wonder if they go all the way to hatching. I kinda doubt it but there isn't must to stop them. The tank is not really populated.

I will be going to lemmas (check spelling) classes I suppose. That's the responsible thing.

Child support, LOL! I think you are safe, in general turbo snails don't reproduce in the aquarium.
