Having spent 8 years as a Firefighter/EMT, 2 years as an ER Technician and having taught CPR I am all for these changes. The research shows the technique is very effective and bystanders are more likely to perform CPR when mouth to mouth is eliminated.

I was an EMT for years and CPR/First Aid instructor. I really like this because, ever since HIV/AIDS hit the scene so many people are afraid to do mouth to mouth.
