It seems like palythoas are slower than zoas in terms of growth but those unidentified long polyp corals are growing all over the frag rock and the starting to grow along the rock its on! not much growth from anything else other than the shrooms and a MAD explosion in pods.. like uber pods like so many pods I have never seen this many pods before in all my years of the hobby. I may get a mandarin but they are so finicky and hungry IM not sure if its ok to keep them in my reef even though there are crazy numbers of pods

My favorite corals are the Euphyllias like torch and frogspawn! And here for your reading pleasure is an article about them. Aquarium Corals: Corals of the Genus Euphyllia — Advanced Aquarist | Aquarist Magazine and Blog

Funny you mention frogspawn I was actually looking to get a small frag for my tank along with some flowerpot coral. Any opinion on them? I talked to my lfs and they say they are having good success with them an recently for whatever reason they seem to be doing better in reefs now days could it be the dosing or maybe better lighting?

Haha, I am still here! I've had a little excitement the last couple weeks. I got hit by a car while walking. I was even crossing the road legally, that is in the crosswalk and with the walk sign on. In the future I'm going to stick to jay walking!

Its cool looking back at the beginning of my tank adventure I clearly had limited knowledge and now I can see all of the mistakes ever so clearly. I also finnaly get to live up to my title as E the gorgonian hunter! Soon I will be getting some more gorgonians some tridacna clams maybe another flame scallop as I have cracked the code to keeping them and maybe just maybe I will get some more sps corals! Thank you Carmie for your dedicated following of my thread!
