    Question Re Button Polyps

I have very little algea in my 65 gal but there is a lot growing around my buttons polyps can I take them out and carefully remove the algea with a tweezer without hurting them?

Well it depends on what kind of algae that it may be, it most cases i would just let it go. My dwarf ceriths and my emerald crab go all between my zoas and clear the algae from between them on a regular basis. Maybe you may want to add a few more snails or get an emerald crab or 2. Can you maybe get a pic so we can make sure it is not a nuisance algae growing that you may want to manually remove from them?

A pic would definitely help, but if you find it unattractive, you can definitely manually remove the algae with your fingers, tweezers, whatever.

it is not Hair alea or anything like that ....the colony is just so close together my snails and crabs don't get in there and clean it out and I have several new polyps that barley emerge fron the algea I just wanted to give them some room, just making sure that it will not hurt my polyps.....

    Thanks

Nope your polyps should be fine with it, just be careful that is all. Personally I would just pull off whatever is too long by hand. And what kind of snails do you have cause my dwarf cerith's go everywhere, clean my zoes and my starburst polyps regularly.
