    Fish Ideas

well I never thought I would have issues with buying stuff for my tanks....lol.....I have an 29gal that has been up and cycled now for about 2 months that is going to be a FOWLR.... no corals , I have a CUC in there but I am stuck at what to put in to it fish wise....

I do not want to do the standard fish , clowns, tangs,chromis......looking for ideas on some hearty fish that would look good in a 29gal ....I was thinking mabey Drawf angels but then again I am not sure ...I am really stuck

    thanks

I wouldn't put more than 1 dwarf angel in there, they'll fight. Maybe the dwarf could be your centerpiece fish, and you could add a pair of firefish with it or something.

I am not so sure about the angel because I know they can be a bit moody......I like the fire fish though they are cool looking and seem to be hardy.........

If you wanted something different you could go with purple firefish.

One of the smaller filefish species (such as Acreicthys tomentosus), a small scorp (Scorpaenodes sp.) or stingfish (Choridactylus multibarbus), any of the waspfish (Ablabys or Paracentropogon sp.), maybe a Dendrochirus sp. lionfish. Maybe you could find a pair of weaned orange-spotted filefish (DD has them from time to time) or you could try your hand at weaning them (HARD work). If you wanted to go with a species setup, a wartskin angler (Antennarius maculatus) would be perfect.

Live macro would round out the aquascaping and give the tank some motion.

Any of those would be an uncommon and interesting tank.

There some really nice wrasse out there. Some not for NANO tanks but give them a look. they are colorful. Almost like betas. I swear there are at least a hundred different ones to buy if look online. from 19.99 to 299.99. Just beautiful!
