Sounds like a mating behavior to me.
I got two Ocellaris Clownfish not really sure how to explain this but when there close to eachother they will start twitching they don't do it when there on opposite sides of the tank though thats why i thought maybe it was normal. Anyone else experience this??
thanks,
Eric

Mine do it also. They are a little over a year old so I dont think they are mature enough to mate. Maybe practicing for whats ahead lol. Could be a dominance thing to determine who is going to be what sex, a mating ritual, or any number of things. But I've never heard anyone say "my clown had a seizure and died" so I wouldn't worry about it.

thanks for the info i did some searching on google this is what i found if one shows it side to the other that usually is a sign of submission to the other... Clown fish are unique in the fact that the dominate one (in the tank in this situation) will become the female and become much larger, and the male will stay smaller and will be submissive to the female. I guess to explain it a little better the one was doing this then it was swimming funny. It was difinitely showing its side though
