yea its horrible have been cleaning up the tank slowly over the past 3 weeks and doing water changes, its showing great improvement.

the bad:
lost nearly everything
tank is gross
im pissed
pest anemone invation

the good:
clown survived
2 pepermint shrimp slowly starting to attack the pest anemonies
my radioactive zoas are slowly opening up bout 4 eyes survived out of 40
another coral that i cant remember the name of
and my conch an a few hermits

v, iv been alright keeping busy, have gotten a new cell with a better camera so the pics will be better

pat forgot where you were in pa bud, but have a few turbo snails and some cheato that you can have. I am pretty close to pittsburgh like 20 min south.

so its been about 3 weeks since the recovery process began, did a large water change the other day after several smaller water changes and everything seems to be remaining stable, the zoas in the tank and the other coral are opening up very nicely,

things you learn along the way secure all drain hoses lol spilled a good 10 gallons of tank water during the water change lol

il up load some pics soon as i remember my photo bucket pasword, dont have one of the total crash was too bumed to think about taking any but have one shortly into clean up and one recent, Rostr thanks for the offer bud but im on the eastern end of pa in stroudsburg just a couple hr drive down 80 haha

wow sorry to hear about your tank. and is that hair algae on the rocks? if it is i have a few suggestions on cleaning it.

there is a way to kill xenia that might work on aptasia i think it was kalk paste it might work

Kalk can kill them but you have to make sure you get the whole aiptasia or they will regrow from the leftover parts. I have always had problems with them retreating into their holes as soon as a get a syringe full of Kalk paste near them. If you get peppermints that will eat them they are great for eating up small aiptasia.

if you remove everything u care about in that tank u can kalk bomb them by overdosing the water with kalk

i added 2 pepermint shrimp last night gonna get more next week seen the one munching down on some this morning so hopefully they will get it under control
