Can anyone id the million of little white specs moving all over my glass. Most are just one spec, then there are the two specs together, and today I have imobile specs with 4-5 little arms coming of of them. I have thousands of the moving ones. All are so small I cant get a photo. The immobile ones with the arms are the ones that make me nerveous.
I am going to guess that the little white moving dots are copepods. They are beneficial. The ones with the arms could be hydroids. http://www.seaslugforum.net/factsheet/hydroids I have had them and they seem to go away on their own and have not caused any problems in my tanks.
