    New Bubble tip

So my new BTA seems to really be doing well except maybe for the larger Pepermint shrimp that keeps bugging it. From what I have read the Pepermint should not hurt / eat it. The BTA close's itself up and crawls into a crack between the rocks to hide. I thought the Pep was just cleaning it. When I Googled it I saw posts about some Peps eating or killing BT's and others that said no just cleaning?

I've never had any problems with mine. Are you sure that you have peppermint shrimp and not camelbacks?

They were sold as Peppermints, and I will have to check the difference from camelbacks and let you know. The small shrimp does not seem to bother with the BT but the big one loves it.

It is not unusual for stores to sell camelbacks instead of true peps.

Pretty sure mine are Peps, they do not have the humped back. It does not look as though the shrimp are hurting it and the BT seems to be getting used to the attention. I may try and redirect the water flow a bit to see if I can get the BT to move out front a little more.

Good luck with directing the BTA. Mine goes where it wants.
