At least ive still got a sweet thing in her 20's putting up with my sh^t, or else it would be time to buy a sports car.

Thought id update on my frog tank side project. I dont really have anywhere specific to post it, its a reef board after all, so here will do. Bout 1/2 way finished.

I need to build a top section that has viewable windows at the front. The wood piece is quite tall.
The outer skin can then go on finishing off the project.

The weight in that sectioned off dry section is quite heavy, & consequently busted its seams due to outward pressures. So i had to bolster the silicon by 3 fold tonight, which sux, cause it means i cant run it with water till its cured.

The outer sections is a water course. On the below shot, is the water fall section. Blended in nicely. Ive already done a water test, & had to mess about with the taps at the back to find a decent balance on the water fall vs the main RP output at the bottom.

yeah, its getting there. The shots dont really sell it for all its worth, its still bright as f%#$, so with the water flowing & some growth to speak of, it should soften it nicely.

ive got to factor in some red led's so the frog can be viewed at night without spooking it, & once its enclosed with a custom hood, i'll need to hook up a 12v extraction fan.

I put wheels on this sucker because i have to pull it out again to work on it, not to mention it makes it so much easier to perform anything relating. Only problem is i had to add 4 extra pieces of wood on the inside of the stand to allow an offset in the wheel bracing. (what's scary is its 90 x45mm timber to begin with!!)
Because im putting on a floating 'skirt' for the outer skin of the entire unit, the wheel when it spins in any direction would be impeded by the shirt itself. Lucky i remembered to factor this, that could have been horrific wheeling it in zig jag fashion. Although im sure someone would get a laugh.
