I wouldn’t take it out at this point. It’s a hitchhiker that came in on your LR. Consider it a unique bonus. Keep trying to get more pictures. Remember to have your camera ready at lights on. Or search after lights out with a flashlight and when you spot it, get the camera ready and flip on the lights for that Kodak moment.

Has it moved at all? It looks like a sponge to me, not unless I am looking at the wrong thing.

It looks fleshy to me so I don’t think it’s a chiton. Chitons have a hard armor-like exterior with a fleshy foot. I also don’t think it’s a sponge because he mentioned it disappeared. I think it’s a slug of some type. You never can predict what will come in on LR. Such a cool hobby.

no its not a sponge cause it started out ontop of this rock and i tracked him once he left the light to this spot. havent seen him again yet, still hoping to see him again. and to me it was very fleshy. i thought it was a snail that kicked his shell but they are all accounted for on the sides of the tank. looks like we are all stumped. maybe have to mark it up to the wonderful mysteries of the big man upstairs.
