Once a soft home comes into play, then the only time ive even seen mine at the surface was to get advanced helpings of food. I dont know how they see everything first.
My two clowns like either the corner by the nozzle or they like the overflow. I think they like surfing the flow! It's the Aussie jetstream dude...or whatever it's called from Finding Nemo

Thanks for the info!
The tank looks good to me. I like the rock/coral skeleton at the bottom right.

a word of advice, i have a 14 gallon bio-cube, and a similar sized heater. the heater will fit into the 1st chamber of the back of the tank, where the water comes in from the display. you will also get a more stable temperature because the water where you have it in the picture dosnt move much, but does right inside chamber 1. also it will give you a touch more display room. another thing is remove the filter media they have you put into chamber 1, its garbage and a nitrate factory. plus they are expensive and hard to find (here in VT) you will also find after about 6 months the twin cooling fans will start to squeal when the lights first come on, this is caused by salt creep getting around the silicone seal for the bulb splash guard. so i recommend ordering a replacement set, or do what i did and just replace it with a MH pendent. other than that, a koralia 1 pump would add the perfect amount of flow, and the tank will serve you for years. ive had mine since July 2007 and it is a little Frankenstein now, but still a bio-cube.
welcome to the sickness, you will be a reef zombie before long. you couldnt have found a better site to call home though.
we are all on the long road to our dream tanks, im going slow and enjoying the journey!

The wife helped me out with photo shop. I added about 10 shells to the tank and the crabs are trying them out, kinda funny. I am on my way to Jacksonville for the Jimmy Buffett show.
Added 4 more snails today, the 5 I had couldn't keep up. Boyesreef I will have to talk with you about your filtration, when you pulled the bioballs did you replace them with liverock?
i just upgraded to windows 7, after a non stop battle with vista, it finally sh@t itself the other night when i let it perform its 58+ upgrade patches that my protection was employed to stop. I had no choice anyways, i was damaging the computer corners by slamming the lid shut to often in a rage. so far so good though, although yet again a slave to microsoft.
Getting on topic, i hear you with the adobe programs, i had photo elements 7 something, & now i have to re-install it all. just quietly though - you can use a copy & not register it if you have anyone willing to share. However i dont subscribe to that woeful, absolutly woeful industry robbing practice, namely cause im too busy accepting burnt game titles instead..lol

V what game system do you use? I have a PS3 that I use the same screen name.
Algae everywhere, bubble as well as hair type. I am going to try and find an emerald crab to help control the bubble algae and maybe a scarlet reef crab to help out on the others. Any tips?
Hey Maibu 41, I live in Ocala also. I don't know if you know about Fin and Gills, but they seem to know there stuff. He's on South Magnolia just before the S curve extension. I've only been in a couple of times but he always seems ready to answer questions and sounds like he knows what he is talking about.

Gary,
Yes I have been there, thats where I got my live rock. Seems like a very good staff and not just trying to sell you things. I may go there today and see if they have an Emerald Crab for me. Another nice shop is Tanks Alot over by the Star Banner and bowling alley in that new plaza, they seem to have a little more stock and seem pretty good also.
i have most platforms, however i only use the X360 these days. My screen name is Bullet Sponge , however ive got heaps of games, so i never go online to compete.
Talking of which, it $^%^ing died on the weekend, got the red rings of death. common heat sink problem apparently. Its had a good life at least- it was from the first production run with some software upgrades along the way.
