    Mystery tentacles

Underneath one of my zoanthids is something lurking. You can always see what look like a pair of snail antennas. In the evening they extend get a feathery edge, and whip around with the current. They don't seem to be harming anything. Here is a photo in the day, and in the early evening. They extend much longer then the pictures indicate. Does anyone know what they are?

It looks kind of like a sponge but I don't recall sponges extending any feeding tentacles. It could be a type of worm.

There is no elevator to success in marine tanks. You have to take the stairs.
