Well time to introduce myself . . .

Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone as I am so glad that I found this place. Don't think I would be getting back into reef keeping if it wasn't for all of your support.

Well my name is Bob (although everyone calls me Bobby, since the is already a Bobby on here Bob will work just fine) I am 26 y/o, have done residential construction since I was a kid with my dad till I got my nursing degree in 2004. Currently a Hospice RN. And I live in Southwestern PA

Guess as a little history since I am new here. My father and I started our 90 gal reef tank in 2001 and had it for 3 years until I bought my home and we moved. Local LFS got a deal on all the stock, it was free . . . and they had free delivery. We had every intention of restarting the hobby again but never got around to it before he passed away in 2006.

But since coming here all of you have sparked my interest and I would like to say thank you.
Had a lot going on for the past few years getting caught up on everything but am finally glad to say I am prepared for what I have coming. . . . all of my money spent on the corals I know I am going to buy.

Plans are for a 90 gal reef tank with ATS. Fuge. MH lighting. DSB. Live rock. I have a lot left over from my prior reef tank. Mainly the tank itself fuge and metal halides which just need new bulbs after sitting all of that time. The ATS I am awaiting some t5 ho lights to come in and the mirrored plexi then I can start fabbing that up. And if that don't work I have 3 protein skimmers from the old tank just sitting here collecting dust.

Guess that is good for now no more rambling on. Thank all of you again this place is great

    Bob

    Bob,

Thanks for the intro. I am looking forward to following your build. I think you will be the first here to start a tank off with an ATS.

I can't imagine being a Hospice RN. As an ex-EMT I can handle blood, guts and death but I could never handle the emotions of working in hospice. You are a special guy.

I am sorry to hear that you lost your dad. Mine passed away in 2005 and I miss him every day.

There is no elevator to success in marine tanks. You have to take the stairs.

    Welcome Bob to TR!

Your residential construction background should be really handy for the more DIY aspects of reef keeping.

I'll be looking for your build thread on the boards!
