I bought a frag piece with about 15 brown with grn center zoes, and 5 "big bang theory" palys for only 40 buck!(first pic...should have costed about $160+) and 4 "candy apple pinks" for 20bucks!!!(should have costed $60) I couldnt be happier!. O and I also bought a SPS coral called "jokers Revenge acro" So bada$$ but costed 70bucks.

I agree so many look similar in pics unless you get everything just right. Great looking zoas.

Hi Mike...i'm James..zoas don't really need the Ca...since they are a softy...only LPS and SPS really need it. I supplement iodine (but at half the recommended dose) and they seem to grow very fast. Some people are against the iodine, so read into it before (like everything in this hobby) doing it. What is your Kh, NO3 etc. Things grow great when readings are prime.

But before adding Iodine make sure you buy a test kit and test to see if you need it. It is always good to test what you are dosing.

You are welcome...don't just listen to me though here at Talking Reef it is your best interest to take everyones opinions, do research, then take the plunge yourself. It's like being a kid, sometimes we don't learn from being told, we gotta make our own mistakes....lol...here are some before and 45 days later pics. If you think bout it when there are only a couple zoas, like 1/2 inch diameter, that whole diameter is all that can grow, but if you already have a patch 4 inches in diameter then it will have more area to grow...I would say generally the bigger the patch of zoas the faster it will grow, generally...as long as your water doesn't suck...am I right father time???lol

I cant contribute much, but this is what I have.
I put them next to the entrance of my blue devil's cave. He doesnt like it when I get close to the tank with something other than food.
