their bases are really fragile so you have to take care when moving them. we keep both ours in low light, low flow areas. in the 30g the fox is on the sand bed. in the 40g it's on the rock. sometimes we feed them but i'm not sure they actually eat anything we feed them.
other than the fragile bases they seem to be pretty hardy & easy to maintain.
