Looks like a type of Nemertea (ribbon worm).
It probably had nothing to do with the rock persa, but more along the lines of inhaling fine particles. Anyone especially prone to asthma or bronchiolitis need to be extra careful.

If the exterior is popped (by any means.... even a mithrax) while it has daughter cell inside, it can spread. But those daughter cells are not always present, so it's a little gamble.
If you weren't going to stock difficult to keep fish to the general public, would you be willing to special order them for some people that have the experience to keep them?

They won't change it Carmie, I've tried. They've had wrong IDs that REALLY make a difference and they have cold water fish listed as tropical... the description never changed and that was a LONG time...

It depends on the amount of time you want to wait on water, IMO. In an hour, in optimum conditions, you'll make 3.1 gallons. Now me, on the other hand, with my new 300gpd, can make a whopping 12.5 :-)
Those things are crazy! They stick on ya really well and cling to nets so that they kind of spooked me out. I use to collect them all the time as a by catch.
