I agree and also can't wait to hear the results. This research is long overdue. It is hard for me to beleive it has taken this long to do some of these invaluable tests. Money can make people do crazy things. Steven Pro is speaking(at MACNA) on the importance of experimentation and controlled testing even on a small scale. This can have a huge impact on the hobby. Feed me, Feed me............

I've looked on Reefkeeping Online for the first part of this article but can't find it. Anyone have a link to it?

Here you go:

Welcome to TR Mark,

You will love this forum. Great community and many to help out. Beleive it or not, by asking your question you helped me out. I guess I only read part II and did not realize. I looked at the end of the article and found the link to the 1st part. I guess I have more to read... Thanks Mark!

A little off topic, but it happened here, so I just have to say that I often see others welcome reefers to TR. They have usually been on TR for a while. I have been here 1 month and I am welcoming people. I really beleive this says a lot about this community.

mvcg2001,

I looked at your profile afterwards and did not realize you have been on the forums longer than I have. Not that it makes a difference I guess, but when you look at a person's posts and they are low you may think they have just come aboard. I am sure you have already figured out how great this website is. I just can't help but promote it a bit more

Thank you for the response Jim. Obviously I didn't read Part II of the salt study, otherwise I would have found the link myself. I guess it's just my AR nature to not read the second part until after the first.

Thanks again,
<Mark />

Yes, some big names are big endorsers, I'm glad Eric and Kim are not like that I helped with one month of testing on this salt study and some other various small things. Let me tell you this study was DIFFICULT to arrange and run. Because the study did not take any donations from salt companies and didn't ask for sponsors, we had to rely on donations from hobbyists and a few companies (such as the company that donated the T5 lights).

I take off my hat to Eric and his wife and Kim and her husband and many other volunteers for the countless hours they put into this project. If you knew how much time when into this study then you would be less suprised this took so long.

I am really looking forward to the results.

Brian
