Do you have a sand substrate ? Or is it
BB (bare bottom) ? I'm bare bottom, and have 2 maxi-jet 1200 mods in a 65 gallon tank.

I have 2 K2's in my 54 and I love them! Lots of flow, low energy consumption, minimal heat output, and very reasonably priced. I ordered them from Amphibious' store,
The Cultured Reef .

I agree with Carmie. If I didn't already have the MJ mods, I would have gone all Koralias.

I think that they would probably be enough for most situations but if you are going to go for high flow corals you might want to bump it up to K4's.

RO /DI and everything else you are supposed to do but I keep having slim algae out breaks so I am thinking it must be not enough current
