tank flow

Hi every one! I am in the build of my 110gal reef and though I would post this drawing of my idea for the flow and plumbing of my tank and get some feed back on it. So if any one has any suggestions or comments I will gladly take them in consideration
Thanks Scott

If that is a Wiere overflow, I would suggest drilling the tank and to NOT trust an over the back overflow. I had one and overflowed my tank!

IMO, over the back boxes are great if you have the aqua lifter pump to create the siphon needed if your power goes out. i used one for a long time in an upstairs apartment and never had a problem, because i used the pump.

Thanks Salt-rookie But this is a in tank overflow and is drilled with 2) 1-1/2" drains 1) to the sump/fuge the other for the closed loop. 3) 1" returns all for the close loop , the return for the sump/fuge is via the OM squirt to the top of the tank as illustrated in the pics.
Thanks Scott

Salt-Rookie, I personaly agree with Reef Keeper that if you incorporate a Tom's Aqualifter Pump into your overflow to remove bubbles that eventually build up within the Acrylic U-tube as I have done on my current setup (See my thread Jaybedriften's Piece of the Reef - Photographic Intensive JayBeDriften's Piece of the Reef. (Photographic Intensive)) It is a great way to save money on an purchasing a Reef Ready Pre-Drilled Aquarium.

This is a built in surface skimmer/over flow ( reef ready as I am having the tank drilled ) it has no U tub in the system there for I would not need the Aqualifter pump Thanks Scott
