Help me decide.

I am looking to get more flow for my 75 gallon mixed reef. Right now I have a Rio 2500+ return, a Ehiem 1250 secondary return, Mag 3 CLS, 2 Powersweep 228's, a Maxjet 1200 w/ Hydor FLO and 3 Maxijet 1200's on a wave timer. I want to remove the Powersweeps since they quit sweeping every other week and they add a lot of heat. Thought about a stronger closed loop but most pumps are high wattage. I want to add two high flow low wattage power heads.

The two powerheads I am looking at are the Tuzne Nano Stream 6025 and the Seio 820. I have heard great things about the Nano Streams. I have a Seio 620 in my nano and love it. The streams are a little more money and less flow than the Seio's. Are the Streams worth it? Anyone have both? Have any other suggestions? Help me decide.

If Tunze is in your budget, I'd say get some of the regular streams and ditch virtually all your other pumps. Maxijet pumps use a ton of energy for their flow. I virtually eliminated my heat issues by replacing them with Seio's. I'd have done Tunze Nano's, but they were unavailable at the time and my tank is only 25g.

well i too like my SEIO, but my understanding is side by side comparison is that the Tunze are much better.
i haven't used a Tunze yet, but i plan on trying to get some in the near future, im going for 2 nano streams to add to my SEIO 820, and to replace 3 MJ1200's

If the 6025 streams are more flow than a Seio 820 then I am sold. Rob maybe we could get a group buy together? Not sure if the double shipping would make it worth it but something we could look into. Right now I could get 2 Seio 820's for $80.50 shipped. Oh the Tunze are only 7 watts compared to the 18 watts for the Seio. Dang still on the fence.

well, i know one of our sponsors Aquabuys is working on getting them in stock, maybe if there are a lot of people interested in getting them, they might be able to offer a special price to us. again, just a thought, i cant speak for them.
group buys in general are best when all is shipped together.

i know Aquabuys mentioned doing free shipping but its only for the 6055 (i think) and a controller.

eitherway, i think its a good idea, maybe we can ask them..

Yep I remember that now. The 6055 were a little rich for my blood. Thats why I was looking at the poor boy Tunze 6025's. Maybe I should keep saving up.
