What makes anemones difficult?

What makes anemones difficult?

So I'm interested in putting an anemone in one of my tanks and I'm starting to do some research on them BEFORE I go out and buy one. I've seen advice from a number of places saying that they should not be kept by beginners or be kept in new tanks and that they can be difficult.

1) Which varieties are considered more difficult to keep and which are relatively easier? Why?

2) Which clownfish will host with which kinds of anemones? And vice-a-versa, which won't host together?

3) What environmental requirements do they have? i.e. lots of light, calcium, flow, etc.

4) Isn't a Rose anemone just a color variant of a Bubble Tip?

5) Are there any good reference books/articles out there on anemones and their symbiotic anemone-fish?

6) What kinds of equipment should I be careful about getting? i.e. powerheads, etc.

I'm thinking that I want a rose anemone in my Nano tank (With a decent sized sump). But obviously it's going to take a while before the tank matures enough. That should give me enough time to research all of the pertinent facts.

I totally agree...this would be great for a show. I'd love to learn some more too, Jimm had some great questions. At some point I'd like to get one too.
