ok folks, i am starting to look for ideas for video casts (vidcasts)
what im looking for are simple how-to items i can cover in a video. particularly things that might be hard to understand when you try to read about them.
i have pretty much everything for my tank setup, also i will likely not be able to do any DIY tanks, skimmers, kalk or Ca reactors... i will try and get to those in the futures but not at this point.
i will be doing these as my corals are ready to be fragged
and i might also to a video walk through of my tank if there is interest.
video takes more time to produce than audio, so i will not be able to knock these out in a da or two, but i think think it would be a worthwhile thing to do..
so please take a moment to chime in with ideas

Basic maintenance would be a good one. Like how DO you drip kalk? etc. Some folks have trouble figuring out how to test water parameters. How to calibrate a refractometer, etc. etc. etc.
Don't think I've seen gwen post today...the late night chat must have really made her oversleep today.......maybe this will draw her out....
Guess we tired her out!

What do you want, the behind the scenes tour?
Back to the topic at hand, I think driping Kalk would be an excelent topic for the more advanced reefers and maintenance would be good for the beginners.
These videocasts are a sweet idea! thanks Rob. I think a helpful video would be how to properly acclamate a new fish to the tank and how to properly quarantine them to get them ready for the main display.

Sorry about not being here yesterday- the only time I got online was to pay a few bills- I didn't get up til about 12:30 and I was back in bed around 9pm. Was a short day for me yesterday.
A behind the scenes tour might be possible! And sounds like Kevin can help me!! But I wouldn't be the tour guide though... maybe Kevin will be??

LOL.... although, gwen could host it.....would just have to hold a nemo plushy in front of her face (then "she" wouldn't be on camera)...could see "nemo" giggling.
how about a vid on how to catch a fish....that would be funny, and probably long. LOL

I always have a hard time understanding people's plumbing, because you're usually just seeing it from one axis. Seeing a walkthrough through different types of plumbing would be great!
Hey Rob - maybe people could submit videos to you and you could screen them and decide which ones to show?
