I don't know where to post this, so I put it here....
Since a lot of people here use Skype, and you conduct your Podcasts in Skype, I was wondering if you ever thought about hosting a Skypecast at a certain time of the week so people could just join and you could answer questions and have a discussion that way?
1) It'd be easier than a chat-session (no typing)
2) The moderator can control who talks and who doesn't by "passing the microphone" so it's controlled.
Just a suggestion. Also, I think you mentioned in a podcast that you all meet at a certain time in the chat room? Does that still happen? If so, what time?
yes, this is something i have wanted to start for sometime, mentioned a few times on the forums.
problem i have had was lack of interest or participation.. or at least few people pipped in to say they were interested.
if people are interested in this, i am ALL FOR IT.. would love to do this..
this is truley one of my ultimate goals, to get to a real interactive brodcast... so if there is interest, lets go and get it off the ground..
as for the chat nights, yes, those are every Saturday night at 9:00 PM Eastern.
i make it as often as i can, but they are usually run by Gwen

i think skype is a very good idea. it would be good for a wider variety of people. is it possible to record the skype cast?
yes, i can take care of all the recording.
maybe we will try it.. would like to get a few more people interested, and we'll set something of for a trial run

We used to do a skype chat and that was a lot of fun. However, we got to the point where there were too many people in chat and some people would be left out. The thing about skype though is everyone needs a headset to eliminate echos.
If there is someone that pays for the skype upgrade that allows more people in a conference at one time, then that'd be great.
The chat room is always open if anyone ever needs a place to have a conversation. We meet every Saturday night at 9pm for now. Last Saturday we had a good crowd.
