I bought some corals from Jake at Razorcorals two weeks ago, and I have to tell you everything came very healthy, exactly as pictured. The prices were pretty good also. I had a little difficulty ordering but that may have been me. :-)
Instantaneous e-mails corrected the problem, so they had great communication. I especially liked the way some items were attached to Styrofoam which kept them from getting damaged.
In general, a great experience so far, everything is very healthy.

I want to say that I enjoyed the show on my ride home. Very informative. I also want to add that I have had extensive experience in ridding my system of the dreaded red bugs. If ANYONE has any questions regarding the use of Interceptor for eradication and/or prevention of red bugs, fire away. I'm sure that I'm not the only one here who could help.
The reason I bring this up is that MOST people (including me) get a dose of 'instant fear' when you read/research the treatments. It is really not all that bad if done the right way.
As a final note about the darned bugs... I DID treat a very heavily stocked, 2 year old 75G reef system. I created two offline fuges and collected as many snails, crabs, shrimp as I could from my display before doing the treatments. I lost just one HUGE coral banded shrimp that I could not remove from the display. Besides that shrimp, I took a heavy hit in my pod and mysid populations. However, within two months time, you'd never know that I had such losses.
i had a problem with red bugs before, it was introduce from a frag i recieved from a friend. i didnt use interceptor but instead what i did was i blasted the infected frag with a strong powerhead in a seperate bucket. i was afraid some bugs might have been in the water colum but till today i didnt have ne problems. i guess what im saying is if the problem is small try poweheads before destroying some of your inverts with medz.

Hello there...finally got the chance to listen to this episode last night while driving home. When you and Jake were talking about how some of the treatments can also harm shrimp and/or copepods, I was reminded of a story that I heard before and thought it might be the right place to bring it up:
I can't remember where I heard this story from, but a man got home one night and fed his fish. Suddenly the entire tank looked like a snowfall....all the copepods, amphipods, and shrimp fell over dead. He couldn't figure out what the problem was. He thought maybe it was something in the food that poisoned the tank. The fish were all alright. Turns out...his wife had treated their two dogs for fleas that day. He came home, pet the dogs, went to feed the fish, put the food in the tank with his hands and presto! all the chitin-bearing invertebrates were killed along with the fleas!!
Just shows how sensitive some of the creatures in our tanks really are! :-0
