I want to increase my copopod and pod population in my refugium. I can see lots of small pod in there. Before there were lots of all sized large to small. I did add a peppermint shrimp to help with aiptasia removal. could the peppermint shrimp be eating my large pods?

Short of that, im just taking the laugh cause we're all after quick instant hit thrills these day..lol
Fundimental law here - hold on to your hat ok! - Once habitation occurs anything will reproduce given enough time & relitive safety, if not then safety in numbers.
Quick question. My tank is up and running for 2 months with no fish or corals just some snails, emerald crabs and hermits. I noticed about a moth ago white spider-like oranisms on teh galss and from what I can understand they are copepod larvae or babies. I have seen the occasional full-grown pod and besides the green hair algae I'm cultivating right now should I be looking at phyto or something else to feed them to increase the health and population?
Pods do live and grow in the HA so there is the silver lining to that cloud! I tend to think of fish as being more predatory on pods than the CUC so they are probably multiplying like crazy. Both the fish in my nano mysteriously died on March 1 and it has been running with just corals and a CUC ever since and I have TONS of pods in there. I dose DT's Phyto weekly in both my tanks. If you do decide to dose phyto don't over do it.
I figure they probably have enough food at this point Would love to keep a population up. Would be awesome to be able to keep a psycadelic or mandarian, but I don't risk slowly starving a creature so beautiful to death.
