Epoxing Rock Together

What is the best way to secure rock so it is "bonded" together? I've used the putty that is green and white and is kneaded together, but that only seems to make a "resting area" more secure for the rock rather that "gluing it" to another rock. My rocks are quite large "hey whoa"... and i cannot use any ties, nor can i drill them since they're already in my tank. I thought an Epoxy safe for fish would work, but I cannot find any.

Any suggestions?

I will thank you ahead of time.

John

i dont recommend epoxying your rock together. it makes it difficult to remove them if you need to, or just want to rearrange. my rock is very stable and is not epoxied. you just have to play around with it to get them to a secure spot.

That makes sense. My rock is stable now. Just worried about sand sifting fish that could possibly tilt my rock in the future. I have about a 4" sand bed.

the fish are not really anything to worry about, i would be more concerned with pistol shrimp or other major digging inverts. i have a yellow watchman goby that does a little digging, but i try to catch that dang pistol shrimp whenever i see him (which is rarely), but he is to fast. lol

Gee Bobby, thanks!

I agree though. Epoxying them all together probably isn't a good idea. I've had to remove rocks everal times for various reasons, and it would not be cool if they were epoxied together.

If you have a bunch of small pieces, you could epoxy those together to make one larger rock, but that's about as far as I would go.
