I use
DIY food for my fish and corals that will eat meaty bits.
The base of the food is the frozen seafood mix I get at Wal-Mart. It's like 3 pounds and dirt cheap. It has frozen shrimp, squid and octopus. I'll also pick up a couple of raw clams, mussels, scallops and/or some white fish. To this, I'll also throw in a pack of frozen mysis and whatever else happens to be in the freezer, some cyclopeeze, a mix of flake and pellet food, some
DTs phytoplankton a sheet of nori and really just about any other fish related foods that are at hand. I blend it in small batches in a food processor, mix it all in a big bowl to make sure it's all evenly divided and freeze it in plastic zip-loc bags. One preparation of this lasts me the better part of a yer.
