The two outside baffles should extend all the way to the bottom, and the center one should be raised up a bit.

My mistake, I was looking at the lines underneath where you show your dimensions, and thinking it looked strange. Go figure I'm a contractor and look at plans all time, man I must've been tired or something.

Your plans look great, making the baffles about a half inch shorter than the deised water height is probably about right. Flow through the sump is going to play a role in the actual water hieght you end up with.

So should I plan on a little less in the sump.
The only thing I was basing the water height in my sump was that it was 3" over my skimmer pump as the instructions called for and that I had enough room for a power fallure.Thats where I came up with 6 1/2 ".

I would just go with whatever your system requires, and make sure to leave headroom for a power outage like you said. There's no hard rule to the hieght of the water in your sump. If you thought I was implying a specific hieght I apologize that was not my intention.
