Hi everyone,Thanks for the help.
I'm just looking for help as I'm new to saltwater, have had fresh water for years and still have a 30 gallon community tank and a 10 gallon neon tank.I'm bored with the fresh water setup and proably use one of the tanks for a QT.
So the filters wet-dry,sump set up is what I'm trying to learn because I want to do it right the first time and take my time so I can enjoy it rather than get pissed off,LOL if you know what I mean.
Thanks again TR is great
Phil

We'll do our best to steer you in the right direction. Check through the Podcasts. There are many things discussed there that will help you.
Also there are many threads in the "Member Tank Projects" forum that take you from beginning to date with pictures. My thread on setting up a 135 reef is here - Amphibious' 135 Reef Much of what you want to know is in there. Take a look.
Again, welcome to TR.
Dick

Are you, or do you plan on keeping corals? Unless you are going strictly fish I would stay away from wet/dry filters, otherwise you will be in constant battle with algea/high nitrates. You will find alot of TR members prefer a good protein skimmer and a refugium.

I agree with this.. Wet/Drys are about out dated IMO, even in a FO tank, there are better ways to handle filtration. theonly time i see a Wet/Dry being needed is in an over stocked FO tank.
that being said we all you to Talkingreef
thanks for stopping by.. hope you stick around for a while
