Biocube Protein Skimmer

Has anyone seen of used the new Biocube protein skimmer? I have a 29 gallon Biocube and I'm wondering how well it works? I've seen some comments on it and some people say to remove the filter cartridge to make it fit. That's a problem for me as I have the heater in the overflow box and I really don't want to remove the filter. So, how good is it? Does anyone have it? Suggestions please.

I have no idea. It's made by Oceanic for the bio cube. looks like carbon filtration to me since there is some black stuff in it.

I don't know anything about the skimmer. If it is just carbon in the filter you could probably pull the cartridge and run the carbon in a bag.
