Exclamation PLEASE HELP... BC 14 fan relpacement

My fans were extremely loud, I contacted Aquarium Systems and they sent me a new set of fans. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the hood from the BIO CUBE 14, and if so... HOW? I can see that there are pins in the rear at the hinges they have a solid side and the other side has a hole in the center. I am not sure if these are designed to be removed, or how to remove them if they are designed to be removed. anyone who has this information please HELP

You can call me Raiden : God of Lighting marshmellows............ um yeah.....dont know about you nano, or rather a follow on for how to dismantle, i do know however loud fans can be made silent with silcon spray. Just work out how to spray it away from the tank though. Welcome anyways bud

On my NanoCube they are on the inside on the tank side of the hood. IDK if the BC is the same.

Nope not there... I took the cnopy apart from underneath... anyone with a BC knows what I mean... but working like that with a tank full of water, I could easily see either getting electrocuted, or getting componets wet and causing a fire later...

Zap! I actually bumped my PC light and knocked it in my aquarium when I had my hands in the tank. I was really lucky because instead of pulling my hands out of the water I grabbed the light as it and my hands were both in the water. Once I had done that I couldn't get my arm loose and was hollering for my husband to come and help me.

I didn't think it was funny when it was happening but now it sounds like a comedy routine.

oh... btw, i did mess around with the fans just a bit... I mean after all I already had the hood dismantled and it was ease of access at that point. The timer kicked on and lo and behold very very unfortuniately I being the unlucky b@$t@rd that I am managed to only make the noise worse... not only a loud hum now, sounding like a friggin leaf blower in my bedroom, but alos a nice little rattle and tapping noise as well... GREAT. anybody interested in a BC 14 setup???

i duuno how the biocubes are put together, but the JBJ lids pop off very easily at the hinges so you can work on them...no tools really required.

can you post a pic of the lid and the hinges?
