Thanks,
Last night, after several hours of investigation, I came to the same conclusion on the pigmy angle. Several sites with very detailed information (expert sources) say that these can be kept successfully in 10-15 G set-ups. However they tend to be more aggressive in a small tank and tend to do better if kept alone when less than 20G. Also quite a few of these little guys find an appetite for coral a year or so into living in a reef tank, and they are almost impossible to catch unless you break down all of your rock. So with that information, I am going to play it safe and get the purple fire fish.

Now, some suggestions for coral frags that I should pick up, and at what rate can I add them?
I want to keep the coral in proportion to the size of the tank, so I think that small frags is the way to go. I also think that 5-6 specimen is about all that will fit and that I will need to frag them as they grow to keep their size proportional to the tank. Looking for your thoughts and insite.

I am at work right now so later i can give you more detail but i would start with maybe Xenias, Zoo's, Mushrooms, Candy Cain, or maybe Anthelias. ( anthelias grow pretty fast but if you plan on trading they are a good investment. i have a hole list of corals at home and will be happy to post the list when i get home. most of the ones i listed above you can get starting from $15 to $30. all except the xenias are hardy. xenias are just picky lol.

you can add frags pretty much whenever you want. just make sure they are aclimated right.. i have added 4 in the same day and everyone was ok..

i will post more tonight when i get home... any other questions just ask

ok here are some corals that i think would do ok.

Button Polyps ( Zooanthus sp. ) Hardy
Green Star Polyps (Clavularia Viridis) Hardy
Pulsing Xenias (Xenia elongata) Hardy Just Picky
Green Striped Mushrooms (Actinodiscus/Discosoma) Hardy
Ricordea (Ricordea florida) Medium to Delicate
Green Finger Leathers (Sinularia sp.) Hardy

There are many other corals you can keep, that list will just give you an idea. And names to search for.. if you have any questions or problems finding any info on them just let me know..

What was the outcome of your skimmer?

Your cube look nice. Any updates?

I can see a future nitrate problem with 3 fish in a 14g tank. I would recommend one fish for now and see how that goes. If everything is fine, then maybe consider another fish after 6 months. Think small when it comes to fish.

Have you thought about a goby/pistol shrimp combo?
