is low iron "saphire glass" worth it?

Has anyone seen the difference between low iron glass and normal glass in a set up tank?

I'm wondering if this is worth spending money on or not I'm looking at getting a 5"x2"x2" tank

Cheers, Chris

Hey lovespuds,

You only need the front pane to be starphire glass. So I would definitely go the extra.

Yes. The front pane is crystal clear, like Acrylic. You are aware that normal glass has a green tint to it, aren't you?

thats cause the sand used to make the worlds 'normal' glass, comes from greenland doesn't it??? lol

I concure, front glass only (unless you have bay window ect ect style) & yep, you'll definately apprechate those few extra greenbacks spent. Compaired side by side, greenish / yellowish/ dull appearance, vs. crystal clear!
