I have a Coralife Aqualight Pro that sits atop my 55 gallon tank. There is a long (48") , thin acryllic lens that covers a 96 watt Actinic bulb. It normally slides in and out of the fixture for cleaning by means of a long thin groove. Problem is, it is now encrusted in place. Any ideas on how to dissolve the salt crust w/o using harsh chemicals or breaking the acryllic strip? Would vinegar work? Thanks!

Boz, a simple mixture of vinegar and water will do the trick.

1:4 should be more than enough for a standard cleaning solution.
