which hydrometer is best

ok i bought both of these testers
1st

2nd


ok the first one reads 1.020 ( deepsix )

and the second one read 1.022 (hagen)

which one should i use?

these tests were done today and i did both as a controled test i took a pitcher of water out of the tank and tested inside of the pitch with the Hagen.

i personally would trust the float hydrometer, more than a swing arm..
but what you need is a refracometer..
they are very accurate

FULLY agree with Rob on this one, yeah it's $40 as opposed to $6 but you wont be questioning the readings

that sounds great until you test a $300 hydrometer against $40 one. lol. any hydrometer is better than none.

what i meant was that as reef addicts, no matter what we use, there is always something better that will make us question our equipments' effeciency or ability.
