which hydrometer is best
ok i bought both of these testers
1st
2nd
ok the first one reads 1.020 ( deepsix )
and the second one read 1.022 (hagen)
which one should i use?
these tests were done today and i did both as a controled test i took a pitcher of water out of the tank and tested inside of the pitch with the Hagen.

i personally would trust the float
hydrometer , more than a swing arm..
but what you need is a refracometer..
they are very accurate

FULLY agree with Rob on this one, yeah it's $40 as opposed to $6 but you wont be questioning the readings

that sounds great until you test a $300
hydrometer against $40 one.

there are these mean nasty people at work that do nothing but this thing called cost/benefit analysis, it's a pain but it's true
there comes a time when the extra bell and third whistle isn't worth $100 more.
