ok, so months & months latter, i decided to rock up for the answer. lol , wow, thats strangely interesting, & frightening that i haven't heard of him before. Although in my defense, i never went to art school. namely due to my family members teaching it, who in their right mind wants to be tought by "family" at that age...

You know though, most people, even in today's world, wouldn't know a visionary even if they tripped over one.

Dont worry though , watch out for me in the future would you, cause i'll change an aspect of the world even if it kills me....& it isn't going to be my original blow j*bs in a can concept ether if thats what you were thinking...lol

..that figures though, it will prob happen that way-fame after im dead.... whats the point of all that glory after your dead if you cant drink the fruits of your labor i say!!. there's only one word to describe that, refund !

I went to Art School V... and my fav Artist was Marcel Duchamp. He was a Impressionist turned Cubist turned Dadaist turned Forefather of the "Modern" Art movement. Some even say he was an inspiration of the "Pop" art movement with his pioneering practice of turning found objects (he called them "ready-mades") into Art. The most controversial of of which was a urinal that he submitted to the Armory Show of 1917. My login name is a bastardized form of the name Rrose Selavy, which was Duchamp's cross-dressing alter-ego during the early 20th c. Dada movement. "Rrose Selavy" is a play on the words Eros C'est La Vie which plays into some other themes of Duchamp's body of work.

Long story short - my avatar pic is a photograph of one of Duchamp's ready-made works entitled "Why not Sneeze, Rrose Selavy" It is a bird cage filled with sugar-cube looking pieces of marble.

Why I chose a cross-dressing alter-ego as my Avatar theme...why not? Duchamp was a remarkably versatile visionary of his time, frightfully clever, and he liked to play chess too...all things I aspire to...
