ok... getting back to topic.
The colour probably has a bit to do with the white-balance setting used. Its not quite that vibrant in real life. Photographic trickery :P
what materials do u think u will use to build the fixture!
u saw my post about laser cutting didn't u, just so ur aware u dont have to rule it out completely.
yeah, I saw it. I'm using MDF and plywood to make a hood with a curved front. Waterproofing the MDF at the moment. I plan to leave the whole assembly off the tank for at least a week to allow the solvent in the waterproofing to leach out before it goes on top. probably 2 to 3 weeks... I got time
also milsy, have u still kept all the vidcast TR feeds?
if so can u burn them to a dvdR, cause im using a new but worthless laptop with hardware issues, at $3000plus u would think it would be worth it! but its one of our buisness computers that ive claimed/ more like swiped for my TR duties, so i didn;t have the chance to pick one with some power! couple that with dial up at home,& i have a bad headache on my hands. my only other option is to ask rob to send me one, & given the fact its just taken from the 8th to transfer to my paypal account & still not cleared yet, i'll be the next singer of zz top with a matching beard! its driving me up the wall!
so if u can help me out that would be great! shout u a few beers for the trouble!
Keep up the great photos, the tank looks great! Is that an ocelaris or percula clown on your BTA?
Not 100% sure. Sold as a Perc, but I can't tell the difference.
As for heat, I'm not overly concerned. The top is closed as it is and I have no problems now.... got a chiller operating. I am considering the benifits of some small fans in the hood.
Circulation is currently via the overflow into the internal sump. Plenty of air getting in there. The plan is to put in a sump/refugium under the tank and use a reverse photoperiod to help maintain pH, O2, etc. Currently do not measure ORP, or disolved O2.
Not really. Started with none... then a year later I have what you see there. I scraped a lot of it off the back and let it settle all over the tank. That seemed to help it to get established.
ok here we go<<<< >>>>>>>>>>> how the tank parameters?
have u managed to get the alk up to 10dkh?
what are u using for the Ca front?
i have some detailed plans for a DIY reactor that im going to summit for cutting in a couple of months. im going to start preping for the next tank before time!
if u dont have one i can show u the plans & u can get them manufactured with my order to cut down on the costings if u want?
nice super macro setting on the camera, what are u using to take them?
camera has a 10x optical zoom. I just stand back a bit and zoom right in.
Looking at getting a set of macro lenses though. Then you'll see some extreme close-ups.
Am at 10 dKH now.... all is good.
Use kalk for maintianing Ca. Put it in with top-off.
