That nitrate reading of 25 has me a bit concerned, though Kenyas tend to be very hardy. Some people even say they thrive with a small amount of Nitrate in the water.
My Kenya rock (it was a small frag - now it's the entire rock) was having the same problem, until I realized my Long Tentacle Plate Coral was getting too close when fully expanded during the day. I moved it, and problem solved.
My guess is those Yellow Polyps might be getting a little close. Mine are encroaching on my mushrooms and I see a big difference in how much the mushrooms open up. And they are not even touching - just very close. From what I have read, Yellow Polyps pack a nasty sting. It's possible when your Kenya is fully expanded, it's getting too close. Just a thought ...
Good V, thanks for asking. How are things down under?

So are you saying that PO4 is related to Nitrates? I wend out and spent $100 on 4 Salifert Kits (Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite and CA) this week and retested, The Nitrates are at 10 right now.

Has not turned up at all. Also have not seen my Clown Goby either. The BTA has been gone since the 10th, I fear he is gone forever at this point. The bulbs are new within the last 3 months, no new additions aor flow, everything was about that same as it has been. If it works, don't fix it, is the motto I stand by!

Get those filters fixed! All is well here, family is fine but I can surely tell you that 4 kids will run you ragged! Glad to get you opinions and advise again! Hope all is well on your end of the big round ball!

I retested with Salifert kits and found a 10 Nitrate level.

Spot on! While at the LFS getting my test kits I too my camera to show one of my LFS buddies. He pointed out something I didn't see in my haste to save the little guy. If you look close in the photo you will see an Aiptasia right at the base of the Kenya. He thinks it was being stung by it. I ended up removing the rear kenya, it was dead and the limbs were actually severed, and it simply was sitting there. (photos to follow) Once I removed it I hit the aiptasia with Joe's Jiuce and killed it. The front Kenya is looking a bit better today.

Yeah those yellows will spread like crazy if you don't watch them! I am planning on thinning them out!
Hello all, I am still alive. Just busy as always, and I have been putting energy elswhere. I do apologize, I feel like I have just dropped off here. With the wife going to part time in about 4 weeks, that will free up a bit more of my time to get back to reefing!
I do regret that my tank has not gotten all of the attention it deserves the last few months either. I have not neglected it, it just hasn't gotten the royal treatment it was used too . I have stopped phyto production, and reall yneed to get that going again. I also need to get my pumps on a regular cleaning cycle as well. I am really slacking.
Part of my issue is I am battleing this cynobacteria and I cannot get it under control. I suckit out, it grows back I suckit out, it grows back. I thought maybe my sump light was bad because my chaeto stiopped growing, and in turn that may have given rise to the cyano, just a rookie theory. So I put my chaeto in my main display to see if that would help, but not much yet. I need to test my RO water to make sure I am not needing new filters and that is the cause. Can it be?
Anyway, everything is growing very well In fact I will need to get rid of some stuff including some turbo snails that are breeding like crazy. Project DIBS will be getting paid back!
Sorry to drop off, I will pickup my posting again, maybe that will spur me on to get more control of my tank back!
Wes I am game for that swap. I don't want to man a table, but I will definatly be there to purchase or trade!
Right you ar NACLFinatic, but I have been slacking!

That is great to hear! I owe Wes some things and maybe we can arrange a group shipment back in the box I send.
