Pearson's 120

Well, now that my nano is gone, I figured I should start a tank journal for my 120, even though it's been up for a couple of years.

I'll list out the basics here as far as equipment and livestock and just keep it updated as things change.

GEAR:
120 gal tank with 1 corner overflow
30 gal sump
2x400w single ended 20k metal halides with magnetic ballasts
2x54w Actinic + T5s with individual reflectors
3 Aquaclear 50 powerheads
3 modded MJ 1200s
1 Hydor Koralia #4
160# of Walt Smith premium Fiji live rock
3" sand bed
Deltec APF600 skimmer
25w Current USA Gamma UV
Mag 18 return pump
2 Phosban reactors (one with GAC, one with GFO)
2 titanium Visi-Thern heaters
1 CF fuge light
Cheatomorpha
Manostat dual channel peristalic pump for dosing 2 part
Reefkeeper 1 digital controler
1/2 HP chiller
4x4" AC cooling fans

FISH:
2 False Perc clowns
2 orange firefish
2 blue/green chromis
2 yellow clown gobies
1 yellow tang
1 copperband butterfly
1 coral beauty
1 royal gramma
1 lawnmower blenny
1 mandarin dragonette
1 orangespot goby
1 six-line wrasse

INVERTS:
rose bubbletip anemone
long tentacle anemone
several pepermint shrimp
various snails
fighting conch
blue leg hermits
tuxedo urchin
3 crocea clams
1 ORA Ultra Maxima clam

CORALS:
Mostly SPS (acros, stylos, digis, caps, encrusting montis, etc.)
Handfull of LPS (hammer, acan, pagoda cup, challice, etc.)
Zoas (15 or so morphs)
Several varieties of mushrooms
encrusting gorgonian
A little bit of kenya tree I'm still trying to get out

So, that's about it. The tank has been up for a little over 2 years, and has gone through various problems and upgrades as my knowledge has increased.

Here's a shot after it had been up only a couple of months:

And here it is a couple of months ago, the night I upgrqaded my lighting:

I also shot a video tank tour last night with my new HD camcorder. Sorry, it's kinda long, it didn't seem that long when I was filming it. You can also hear my wife playing Wii tennis in the background

Very nice tank! How has the long tentacle anemone been? Are they hard to keep, and do they roam around much?

Thanks guys. The LTA has never moved on me at all, even when I changed lighting. It's been very easy to keep. I just feed it once a week or so, and that's it. Some stuff has grown into it's "zone" and it irritates them when it touches them, but it has not done any permanent damage to anything, and has not harmed any livestock.

Bobby, I meant I hadn't IDed the black and yellow damsel.

Broke down and went fan shopping today. Got 4 fans @ $25 ach at Radio Shack. One on each side of the canopy, one on the top of the canopy to help vent the hot air, and one in the side of the stand to help dissipate the surprising amount of heat that builds up under there.

Still haven'r been able to retrieve the stupid orangespot goby from the overflow. I'm going to try again later afte I frag my Tubbs Blue zoas for my local reef club meet this weekend.
