Hi Tim,

I may be biased but I love a corner tank! That is a wonderful image of your goby.

I think you have added a lot to a tank that is only 2 weeks old. Mandarin fish are usually obligate pod eaters and need an established tank with a refugium to provide them with their food. You probably need to be ordering some pods like these Ocean Pods - Aquacultured Copepods for the hobbyist for your mandarin or it may starve to death. Ocean Pods is a TR sponsor and Adelaide is always ready to answer any questions you may have.

Howdy Carmie, your tank happens to be the inspiration for this tank. I guess what I meant was that while the tank is only 2 weeks old, everything in it is just moved over from my 40 gallon and my 17.5 gallon nano. All the livestock has been around for atleast 6 month to a year. Same with the sump, just contents moved over from my previous sump to fit this tank. I am expecting a mini cycle, hopefully the skimmer and sump will keep things in check.

A few more shots before I have to fight the slime algae.

is the sand (looks like CC) and rock from another tank too ?? if it is then a mini cycle will be probable, if not take everything out and expect a complete cycle.

Hey IReefKeeper, everything was moved over from my other tank that stood about 10 feet from this. I am hoping for just a mini cycle with the Slime algae, but strangely, that has not happened yet, and I also have not had any ammonia detected from testing once every 3-4 days.

I did some searching after looking at those pictures, think it looks more like the Tricolor Anthias?

Well if it all goes to hell I know who to blame. Since I learned just about everything I know from those damned Pod Casts.

lol ... when i moved ... i had a complete cycle, but i moved across town not 10 feet away. i think you will be fine with the setup, but i would still test it every couple of days to be safe. keep an eye on the corals too, they will be a sure sign of something not being right in there.
