i started the red bug treatment (1/2 pill) tonight at 11pm, just before the lights went completely out on the system. i will not be getting the same pic documentation as Victoria was able to. mainly because i am hoping that with the lights out the treatment will be less stressful on the sensitive inverts in the system. i know this is a long shot, but i do not think anyone has actually tried this yet. if they have ... i could not find anything online about it.
ii am going to treat for 12-14 hours. when the time is up i am going to do a 25% water change, reconnect the air intake to the
skimmer, and reintroduce the carbon reactor to the system. this should remove any medication left in the system after the water change.
here is a pic of my ORA Purple Bonsai that you can CLEARLY see the red bugs on. i will take another pic of the same coral in the morning, when the halides come back on at noon, to compare this one to.
